You’re As Happy As You Want To Be

Living happy is the best way to live. A happy person is always a healthy one. The chemistry of stress has harmful effects on the body so becoming happier will actually make you healthier. The reverse applies too. Taking exercise is required to live a truly happy life. Our bodies were built for physical challenges and denying your body this will induce depression. Going out for a run will significantly change your mood, so whenever you feel down, try taking your mind off things with some physical exercise.

Another way to live healthy is to express your feelings. The resentment you may feel if you don’t express yourself is another form of mental stress so you must tell people what you feel. You don’t have to apologise for the way you feel, so don’t be afraid to say what’s on your mind. People find his kind of honesty endearing. If you feel you may hurt someone else’s feelings, just take a moment to think of how you can express your thoughts without causing anyone harm.

Think about what influences your mood. Television brings drama and conflict into our lives because it is emotionally stimulating. But this may negatively affect your feelings, so limit what you watch. By reducing the amount of time you spend absorbing stressful news, you will give your mind space to adjust to being content. This will also give you more time to spend constructively for instance on working hard. Setting goals and achieving them will give you a great sense of satisfaction.

Be grateful. Look around you and you will see that you actually have a lot to be thankful for. Thank the policeman for keeping you safe, thank the cook for your delicious dinner and thank your God for letting you live.

Manage your life. Your time is extremely valuable so think about how you spend your day. To live more effectively eliminate what isn’t positively contributing to the quality of your lifestyle. For example stop ingesting constant information from the media. The news and most entertainment is designed to arouse your emotions with conflict. While this may be stimulating it is not particularly conducive to a stable, happy mental state.

Laughing is a great way to release tension. Share jokes you like with others. Watch funny films.

Take regular exercise. Your body is designed for constant physical exertion and it is easy to neglect this in the luxury of the modern world. Exercising will chemically make you happier- basically it’s a sure bet to happiness. And finally remember to laugh. Whatever your situation, there is always something to laugh about. That’s the secret to remaining happy. Laugh and with this advice you’ll have your spring back in your step in no time.
