Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Sues Upper Deck over Bruin Pics

*Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has filed a lawsuit against trading card company Upper Deck claiming they used pictures of him from his college days after he specifically told them they couldn’t. According to TMZ, the lawsuit filed today in L.A. County Superior Court claims The Upper Deck Company used six photos of Abdul-Jabbar as a UCLA Bruin

School-based intervention successfully lowers drinking rates in at risk children

In an effort to combat these startling findings, researchers at King’s College London’s Institute of Psychiatry describe a successful personality-based intervention for substance abuse delivered by teachers in the September 2010 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Santa Fe College President Gives Convocation Address

The Fall semester is here and Gainesvilles two colleges are gearing up for a year of new projects and challenges. Santa Fe president Jackson Sasser gave his convocation to the faculty of Santa Fe College and spoke about the challenges of keeping his goals for Santa Fe alive in the midst of a recession.
