On-Line Dating - That’s How I Met My Husband

by Angelina D’Amours

The sooner I realized the fact that Mr. Perfect probably did not exist, the sooner I got on with meeting my husband, Mr. Close-Enough-To-Perfect. Prince Charming, riding on a white stallion, lost his way or found Princess Charming and got married on his way to my castle. Could this be true for you too?

If you have been dating for a while you have probably tried the bars, blind dating, classes, and introductions. I thought I didn’t have any no more options until my girlfriend told me about on-line dating. I knew lots of great guys but they were either married already, engaged or gay. If you really want to find your significant other, I suggest you become much more proactive and aggressive in your pursuit of him.

How about trying on-line dating?

Years ago on-line dating was looked upon negatively. Stories were publicized about pervert men seeking women through on-line dating, but this stereotype has changed dramatically. It has changed because on-line dating has now become the number one choice for many people to find their perfect mate.

I met Frank, my husband through on-line dating. We both knew what we were looking for. We were both tired of the dating scene and ready to settle down. Within one year we were married. We bought a house together that same year, and adopted twin boys four years later. We are still married to this day.

I would not be surprised to find out that on-line dating has become the number one way to date today. It has come a very long way. Instead of complaining about your situation why not try it. Today if you choose a good service, it is safe and can work quickly. All my dreams came true for me in less that a year. Now that is progress.

Everyone is unique. We are all individual. We are have personal quirks and habits that might annoy one person, and soothe another. Don’t let your past reality dictate your future. I was no spring chicken when I finally wed, but it finally did happen. I am much happier now with a family than I was single. Marriage is not for everyone. The beauty of on-line dating is that if you are not looking for marriage, you can find others who have this same attitude. All you have to do is enter what you are looking for into your profile.

Do your research. Find the right on-line dating service for you. Ask around. You don’t have to spend a lot of money. These services are always looking for women. Negotiate. Have fun. Mr. Right cold be just around the corner.
